Registration for The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences’ 2015 D.I.C.E. (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) Summit is now open. In its 14th year, the D.I.C.E. Summit (#DICE2015) will take place Feb. 3-5, 2015, at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas and will culminate with the 18th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards (#DICEAwards) on the evening of the Feb. 5. The conference will feature some of the best and brightest minds in the industry speaking on its conference theme, Without Borders. The first speakers to be confirmed include Tracy Fullerton, Tom Kalinske, Sean Murray and Ru Weerasuriya.
The Academy established the D.I.C.E. Summit and awards program to celebrate the core pillars of the interactive entertainment industry: Design, Innovate, Communicate, and Entertain.
“We will continue to touch upon these tenets through the varied exploration of this year’s theme – Without Borders,” said Martin Rae, president, AIAS. “This theme kicked off at D.I.C.E. Europe in September as a starting point for discussion of the industry’s expanding culture, a culture that is seeing past barriers dissipate as we continue rapid growth and evolution. Our speakers will bring their own interpretation of this theme, focusing on the expanding opportunities for the interactive entertainment industry with an eye towards the global marketplace, technology, creativity, emerging markets, diversity, and more.”
Key to the D.I.C.E. Summit experience is its speaker line-up, which often sets the tone for conversation both inside the halls and throughout the industry for the remainder of the year. The initial group of confirmed speakers represents multiple aspects of the industry, including academia, educational games, console, indie and mobile. Confirmed for the conference thus far:
