Steve Youngwood is Senior Vice President, Media Products for Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids that boasts the strongest portfolio of hit TV and film properties in the kids marketplace today including SpongeBob SquarePants, Rugrats, Blue’s Clues, Dora the Explorer and Jimmy Neutron. Youngwood is responsible for managing the business and creative ends of interactive products, video/DVD, electronics and the domestic book publishing businesses for all Nickelodeon properties. Youngwood also oversees the development and management of original properties and characters launched through video, interactive or books with the later hope of migrating to other areas of the company. Previously, Youngwood was Director of Business Development at Nickelodeon. He also worked in Nickelodeon’s International Business Development department. Before joining the network, he was a consultant at McKinsey and Company, where he did strategy consulting for various industries in the United States and Germany. Youngwood earned a B.A. from Yale and an M.B.A. from Stanford. He lives in New York City and is married with one child.
