Randy Pitchford is President and CEO of Gearbox Software, which he co-founded in 1999. Under his guidance, Gearbox has grown into an industry-leading independent studio that has created entertainment software for global gaming platforms including Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo, and whose titles have sold more than 50 million units worldwide generating billions of dollars in gross revenue. Randy Directed or Executive Produced multiple award-winning installments of Gearbox’s original critically acclaimed Borderlands and Brothers in Arms franchises. Randy has also led the creation of blockbuster videogames for some of entertainment’s biggest franchises including Halo, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Aliens, Half-Life and James Bond. In 2016 Gearbox became an independent publisher to establish the most developer-friendly partner for bringing indie game makers titles to retail. Debut published titles include Blackbird Interactive's Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak, Nerve Software's Duke Nukem 20th Anniversary World Tour and People Can Fly's Bulletstorm.
