A lifelong gamer and creative writer, Phil began his career in copywriting and online marketing roles in Brisbane, Australia. Through a number of interweaving projects and positions, he became immersed in Brisbane’s game development industry and joined Halfbrick in early 2009. At the time, Halfbrick was moving towards creating its own original IP, a move which required full marketing and publishing support as new projects were entirely self-funded and directed.

Phil was tasked with bringing Halfbrick and its games into the limelight in the increasingly competitive world of digital game distribution. He directed and executed the marketing campaigns for Fruit Ninja, Jetpack Joyride, Raskulls and every original game released by Halfbrick. He also created and designed the multiplatform title Age of Zombies and Halfbrick’s famous action hero Barry Steakfries. Gaining momentum, Halfbrick has emerged as the most successful Australian game developer in history, and is recognized in the global market as one of the top mobile developers in the world. Halfbrick games have now been downloaded around the world over 400 million times, and Phil is looking to expand on this with more games and exciting digital content in 2013!
