Timothy Schafer is an American computer game designer. He founded Double Fine Productions in January 2000, after having spent over a decade at LucasArts. Double Fine is committed to making high-quality games with an emphasis on originality, story, characters, and fun.

In 2005, Double Fine released the critically-acclaimed Psychonauts, which won several awards including �Best Action / Adventure Game� from Official XBOX Magazine and �Game of the Year� from Eurogamer. G4TV and X-PLAY recently declared Psychonauts to be the #6 XBOX game of all time.

Schafer is best known as the designer of critically acclaimed games Maniac Mansion, The Secret of Monkey Island, Full Throttle, Grim Fandango, Psychonauts, and Br�tal Legend. He is known in the video game industry for his story-telling and comedy-writing abilities.
