Gore Verbinski holds two of the top five all-time worldwide box office records for his Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy. His other recent films include The Ring and The Weatherman. In 1997, he made his directorial debut with Mousehunt for Steven Spielberg and Dreamworks SKG. In addition to being an accomplished film maker, he is an award-winning Commercial Director, Musician, and Composer. Verbinski is currently working on an animated feature, a video game, and a weekly internet program. With a strong background in design and visual effects, (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest won the Academy Award for best visual effects in 2007) Gore continues to focus on the seamless integration of design and narrative. He is a graduate of the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television and currently a member of its Board of Directors. Gore is a founding member of the 5D: The Future in Immersive Design Conference.
