Lawrence F. Probst III is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Electronic Arts, the world's leading interactive entertainment software company that develops, publishes, and distributes products for personal computers as well as videogame console systems. During Probst's tenure as President and Chief Executive Officer, he completed the strategic aquisitions of Maxis, Inc., Origin Systems, Inc., Bullfrog Productions Ltd., Distinctive Software, Inc., and Westwood Studios; expanded international operations to over 75 countries worldwide, opening offices in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands, and the United Kingdom; established a Japanese joint venture with Square Co. Ltd., forming Electronic Arts Square KK in Japan and Square Electronic Arts LLC in North America; and launched the company's CD-ROM business on four platforms. As a result, fiscal 2000 revenues have grown to over $1.4 billion and net income has increased to $121 million.
