Timothy Schafer  is an American computer game designer. He founded Double Fine Productions in January 2000, after having spent over a decade at LucasArts. Double Fine is committed to making high-quality games with an emphasis on originality, story, characters, and fun.

In 2005, Double Fine released the critically-acclaimed Psychonauts, which won several awards including “Best Action / Adventure Game” from Official XBOX Magazine and “Game of the Year” from Eurogamer. G4TV and X-PLAY recently declared Psychonauts to be the #6 XBOX game of all time.

Schafer is best known as the designer of critically acclaimed games Maniac Mansion, The Secret of Monkey Island, Full Throttle, Grim Fandango, Psychonauts, and Brütal Legend. He is known in the video game industry for his story-telling and comedy-writing abilities.
